Car Fun : Ours and Others

Whats the point of working and saving these cars from the rusty clutches of time and neglect if we do not play with them.

We have had many cars through ShadyTree Garage, and helped repair and restore several of them over the years. My brother’s 1957 TR3 is one of the big restoration efforts, along with many repairs of his 1967 AH 3000, and some newer repairs of his new prize, his 340hp Sunbeam Tiger.

Gloves were a joke to annoy my brother. But this picture is awesome

Larry Car- Death of a TR4

I wound up getting “Larry Car” from a lead from our friend Mike. I was looking for a new grill and a good frame and diff. Wound up donating to Larry for a car we should not have bothered with buying. Never needed the frame or diff since we picked up much better ones when Erin and I bought a cache of 4 TR4 parts carts in 2017. One of those frames (TR4A) got converted to the TR250 and another went under Georgia’s car (hers was damaged from rust and the accident in 1980). So wound up with a good block and perfect crank at least, which are worth the donated money to Larry.

Looks better than it is. Dash fell apart when I attempted to remove it.
