2020 Family Update

Another update – more family related. I’ll just caption some photos.

February 2020 – Hiking on the canaan property

April 2020 – Birthdays – virtual parties and pretend slumber parties. Alex turned 8 and Evie turned 2.
Easter 2020 – quiet as it was just us but the girls still had fun!
Summer came early – no pig roast in 2020 but we enjoyed lots of time outside in May!
In June Bella turned 5 – another virtual birthday party but Elsa themed!
Last summer we learned to make our own pasta – delicious – especially with home made sauce!
In July before Evie went back to daycare after 3+ months home – we potty trained – no more diapers in this house!
During covid Alex took over teaching duties and Evie learned her letters and Bella started learning how to read. Thanks Alex!
Summer fun at home included sprinklers IN the trampoline – yes please 🙂
For the 4th of July we all quarantined and got to see family for the first time in months. It was a wonderful celebration before daycare started up and we wouldn’t see anyone again until Labor day.

Gotta stay active – the kids did some workouts when home on work days
Thanks to being home most (all?) weekends we got lots of time on the boat and swimming in the lake
Hiking in Canaan in August – Evie hiked up the ‘mountain’ all by herself this time!
In the summer Alex got to play some softball – outside activities for the win.
For our anniversary mom watched the girls and Ryan and I went hiking (10 miles) – beautiful view at the top!
For Labor day we all managed to quarantine 2 weeks again and get together – plus it was outside. It was a great weekend with family before a long fall/winter of not seeing them until New Years.

School started late this year and was staggered – September 14 was Alex’s first day in person 3rd grade!
September 9 was Bella’s first day of Kindergarten!
September 17 was the first day of all K-3 grades together in person

We got our Xmas tree (cut yourself) from Pinto’s farm again in 2020
All decorated and ready for Christmas – early this year because what else is there to do 🙂
December 9th – we got snow! Not great sledding but that didn’t stop the girls

Why not do a second tree this year :). This one was home-made ornaments and we had it upstairs to enjoy

We ended 2020 with another small family gathering after 2 weeks of quarantine over Christmas (so technically this was January) – but we squeezed in a cousin sleepover!

That was 2020! I’ll do a spring update in a bit – that was a lot of photos but a full year in review.
