Basement Projects

The main project in the basement was leveling the floor joists and adding more support since so many were sagging.  First we dug out and poured some cement footings to support new jacks.  It was clear that the jacks they added to the slab caused cracks in the floor so we knew footings were needed.

5 holes were jack hammered and dug out

Footings are finished here.

Next we added some LVL support beams and jacked everything up to level, adding brackets against the walls to hold the ends and adjustable posts on the footings for support.

Beams with support posts/jacks as we started jacking things up to level it out.
