Today was a short day because Ryan had a dentist appt in the evening and I had a stitch with friends. But we decided to tackle the ant damage on the porch today. First we put in some extra supports.

Then we cut away the rotted wood (most of it). We also sprayed for ants some more.

Then we put in a new piece of wood.

I also got some blocks prepared to put under the posts tomorrow when we start putting this all back together.

So far we’ve gone as far around the porch as we plan to go just yet. We’ll start working on the posts and putting on the new decking tomorrow and see how that goes. We still have work to do to fix the rest of the front but that might be a later project.
