The Power of Persuasion

While my children and their families were visiting this weekend, my daughter mentioned the moving story of Vidal and Mott Hall Bridges Academy featured by the photographer/writer publishing Humans of New York.

As a teacher of disadvantaged youth myself, I am inspired. Between the warm goodbyes with my family and the Superbowl evening, I am preparing plans for my school week. We start 3rd quarter and a unit on persuasion. I am going to find a way to incorporate this inspirational story. My students need to know that there is a world out there that also believes in their dreams.

I have tried to add a link to the fundraiser, in case anyone is interested. I hope I did it correctly, and I hope it is alright.

Let’s send the kids to Harvard!
