New Shed

Paul has been building a nice new shed in our back yard. He already had the platform down. He built the frame and closed it in back in May, before our annual pig roast. We frequently have guests in tents over Memorial Day weekend. the platform has worked for tents in the past- he hoped closing it in would offer extra shelter.

Now he has another purpose for finishing the shed. Along with the extra outdoor storage he hopes for, he will build shelving along the walls that I can use as well. I have bins of keepsakes and dishes that need to be stored for awhile.

We’ve been happily surprised with the news that our daughter and her family will be using my mother–in-law ‘s not quite empty house. We only use it now when we have larger family gatherings. Having our granddaughter next door will be so much fun!!!

I showed these to Jean-Paul and then hit him (lightly) in the arm. He said, “Sorry.” (We have an old pre-fab shed from the previous owners with a warped, moldy floor!)

I’ve held off on the updates. Siding is on and primed but not yet painted. We picked a nice moss green.
